Pine Street was retained by Fairfield Communities Inc., a New York Stock Exchange Company, to market Suntree, a 3000 acre± master planned community located in Melbourne, Florida. Our assignment here was to formulate an exit strategy for Fairfield and manage the orderly disposition of this property. The transaction included the 36-hole Suntree Country Club, with a Robert Trent Jones and Arnold Palmer golf course, and all of the remaining residential land within the project. Also, for the same seller, we handled the disposition of the Lacuna Golf Club in Lake Worth, Florida.The golf club was sold to its members, through an equity conversion, and the real estate was sold to a local home builder backed by an investor.Including the Lacuna Golf Club transaction, the combined sales were in excess of $25.0 million.
